Summer Catch Up (Part 1 of n)

It’s been a packed month-plus since I last posted. Not packed with much sailing, Oracle has demanded the lion’s share of my time. I have been able to get a little sailing in and a few important projects in preparation for the passage south.

One of the worst jobs on a boat is caring for the heads (toilets) and Sans Souci has two of them. The forward head, an electric flush Jabsco unit had started to leak back into the bowl after being flushed. The remedy required is to pull the toilet apart and replace the valve that prevents this called the joker valve- no joke. With the valve replaced, the head has been behaving itself.
