Hurricane Henri

Henri blew through today and here I thought the French names were good! I had Sans Souci hauled out on Friday when the forecast looked like to was going to slam up Narragansett Bay with significant surge on a moon tide (tides are more extreme at full moon and new moon.) By Saturday morning, I was feeling a little sheepish since it looked like it would turn west and go up the Hudson Valley. It changed again by Saturday afternoon and the forecasted track kept moving east. All told, I’m not unhappy with my decision, this could have turned out much worse if it went another 100 miles east. The money spent on the haul-out is far less than my deductible and I now have an opportunity to touch up the bottom paint and change a couple of zincs. Plus, the fridge needed to be defrosted #MostExpensiveDefrostingInHistory

I realize that I haven’t yet summarized the trip back from Maine. Work and life have been a bit bonkers and I’m not sure I’ll get to it anytime soon. I will do my best!
